This position is specialized and skilled work in the Information System design, development and implementation into customer environs. Employees in this class must combine their knowledge of customer processes with data processing knowledge to translate customer requirements into functional data specifications. Primary responsibility(ies) will be to assist in the implementation of a statewide eWarrant application/program. Responsibilities include State Judicial Information System (SJIS) report design, system testing, technical writing in the preparation of documentation, and customer training. Employees exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment in the planning and resolution of their daily activities. Work is performed under the supervision of the Section Chief. Overnight travel is required. Initial funding for this position is provided by a grant. Continuation of employment after the initial funding period is conditioned on continued funding.

Be able to assist with end of the month and daily closeouts.
Assists with bank reconciliations and cash book errors.
Assists with deleting transactions and locating posted errors.
Maintains Judges and Clerks information in SJIS for all counties and court jurisdictions.
Answers “how to” questions and investigate errors that users may be encountering with SJIS.
Grants and removes SJIS access as designated by the authorizing official(s).
Designs report layouts and provides liaison between user and programming staff for changes.
Produces system documentation to include clear, concise instructions to non- technical users.
Designs test data bases to fully check new systems or modifications to existing systems.
Travels to discuss and solve problems relating to information system and usage.
Trains users in operation hardware, data entry and retrieval, and the integration of the information systems into their daily operation.
Trains users in the operation of electronic applications.
Provides management control of different versions of software applications and distributes appropriate documentation to all users with the locations with the telecommunications network.
Analyzes statistical data and prepares extensive and detailed reports.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to: Graduation from an accredited four-year Institution with concentrated course work in Accounting, Business or Management; OR 2-3 years’ experience in the Unified Judicial System (UJS) performing duties as outlined above. Experience working directly with data processing personnel in the design of information systems is preferred.
Policy on Accepting College Coursework, Post-Secondary and Advanced Degrees
1. Specific college coursework required for a job, as well as, Bachelor’s, graduate, post graduate, and doctoral degrees will be accepted from the schools accredited by any of the six regional accreditation associations in the United States listed below:
· Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)
· Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)
· Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU)
· Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
· New England Association of Schools and Colleges – Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (NEASC-CIHE)
· Western Association of Schools and Colleges-Senior College and University Commission (WASC-SCUC)
2. Coursework or degrees from schools that have notbeen accredited by one of the above listed regional accreditation associations may be accepted if a regionally accredited school considers the coursework or degree to be an acceptable prerequisite for admission to an advance degree program. For example, if a regionally accredited school accepts an applicant’s bachelor’s degree for admittance into a graduate degree program, the Administrative Office of Courts’ (AOC) Human Resources Division will accept the college coursework if a regional accredited school accepts the coursework towards a post-secondary degree (e.g., a bachelor’s degree). This must be documented by a letter of acceptance from the regionally accredited school. The AOC Human Resources Division will review such requests on a case-by-case basis.
