This is routine clerical work of limited complexity and variety and will be assigned to various divisions. Employees in this class perform office automation, manual and clerical duties. Assignments will require data entry, limited research, filing, use of personal computers and scanning/imaging equipment and other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s). Prepares official court records for scanning by removing documents from folders, removing staples, paper clips, and repairing torn pages.
Provides helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction.
Monitors and responds quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk.
Monitors Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority.
Utilizes and maintain the helpdesk tracking software.
Documents internal procedures.
Prepares coversheet for each record and names document for ease of retrieval.
Operates personal computer and related peripherals.
Operates scanning and various imaging equipment.
Saves scanned records in US Vault Desktop.
Sorts and files various material according to alphabetical or numerical order.
Proofreads typewritten documents for accuracy.
Performs standardized clerical and record keeping work.
Performs other related work as required.
Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and arithmetic.
Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
Knowledge of the use of personal computer and scanning/imaging equipment.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to learn assigned clerical tasks readily and to adhere to prescribed departmental routine.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
Graduation from a standard senior high school or GED.
Must be at least 18 years of age at time of employment and possess a valid Alabama Driver’s License.
